Reliable Toasters isn't really a band. It's actually just Douglas Anderson, and whomever gets roped into helping him. If you think about it, there are plenty of bands named after the main member (Van Halen, Bon Jovi), why not a person with a band name?

The name comes from my Old Testament professor in Bible School. He once said that the O.T. saints had been tried and tested by God, kind of like an appliance inspector on the assembly line. They had His seal of approval, like an appliance would have a sticker on it, letting you know that what you are buying is a "reliable toaster".

I like to think of my music as being for people who are trying to know God. I write about things that are important to me, and my hope is that there is something you'll be able to relate to in there somewhere.
